I second the desk chair as a fat crippled IT worker that spends 10+ hours a day in a desk chair. I used to get a new $500ish chair every 3 or so years when it fell apart. This last time I saved up and dropped about 2.5k on a really nice chair rated for 24/7 use by someone much heavier than I am and it’s a life changer for my back, and this thing should last a lot longer
I ran an Apple TV in the living room for a long time to access my Plex server and whatever subscription my wife has this month. As time went on it got more and more glitchy until it came to the point where I had to power cycle the thing every few days. Replaced it with a cheap fire stick, annoyed the crap out of me. Replaced that with a cheap Roku, it was only slightly better than the shitty firestick.
My wife got me the NVIDIA shield pro for Christmas this year, and I picked up the p2920 controller for it. My god this thing is awesome - not only is it the best tv box I’ve ever used, I can use moonlight to play games on my rig or GeForce now to stream games. I highly recommend this thing

Ok spoilers - you know how you have to use the scanner to find the distortions to find the temple to get the star born powers? The distortions hardly ever worked for me. I thought I was retarded for a while but then I watched a bunch of videos and realized that it’s broken for me. Turns out if you explored the planet with the temple before you got the quest to find the temple, you won’t get the distortions.
In the kind of guy that does like, all the side quests in a Bethesda game before I look at the main quest. So by the time I got around to doing the main quest, I had been to literally every planet, had outposts everywhere, and wouldn’t get the distortions. I used console commands to get past the quest for the first temple because that’s a common glitch and the fix is all over the internet.
But I ran into the same issue with the second temple. I tcl’ed my ass into the sky and found it with my eyeballs. 3rd temple, still nothing. At this point I got irritated and found a mod that makes it so when you have the find distortions quest active and you get out of your ship it automatically completes that objective and gives you the temple map marker. Fucking lifesaver of a mod.
I’ve run into other glitches, but they were all pretty minor. This one drove me nuts. There was one moon where it worked correctly because I hadn’t been there before. Like the only place in the whole game I hadn’t gone before starting the main storyline. So it seems like if you want to avoid this, do the storyline first

Been seeing a lot of negative press for the game but I’m enjoying it so I haven’t looked at those reviews very much. I came in expecting Skyrim in space and I got what I expected and am enjoying the crap out of it. Now, I’ve run into several game breaking bugs, but found mods to fix all of them

Electricity likes the path of least resistance to ground. If you are only touching with one hand, most likely the current well run down that side of your body to ground more or less. If both hands are touching it makes it more likely for the current to cross your heart which greatly increases the risk of death
I have a group of friends, half in same town as me, half on the other side of the country, that get together once a week ion discord and play dnd via a self hosted foundry virtual tabletop docker. We used to play 5e but we decided to try out pathfinder 2e to see if we liked it and we haven’t gone back, pathfinder is fantastic. The flexibility with the actions makes it feel like you always get a chance to do something and you aren’t just wasting your turn when you are getting into position or whatever. Feels close enough to 5e that most of your intuition will be pretty close, just use a different website to look shit up. Highly recommend pathfinder!

yeah I don’t run into this issue on my mac at work or at home, but i do with every windows and linux machine i try them on. I can do whateevr the fuck i want on my plex server though…if i could only get my wife to adapt to the plex UI and the ombi requester…

Had to give the radiology folks $500 down payment and then let them send the rest to collections to get an mri so my doctor could ultimately not to jack shit to help me, but her still charged me too. Yeah, the brand I went with was concept seating. I’m about 6’7” around 400 pounds - fat gut, big bones, decent amount of muscle - was a lineman before I got crippled. I am 100% a fatass, no excuse, but also big in other dimensions as well. Most chairs, even the big and tall ones from staples and the like, will get a bit of a gangster lean after a year or so of use as the chairs base plate slowly warps and tack welds come loose. You can grind it down and patch up the welds, but not much to be done about the plate warp. The concept seating chair I got has a massively thick base plate that seems like it will hold up to a lot more. One other thing I really like about the one I got is that it doesn’t have the most common failure point, the piston. Instead it has a fuck off huge solid threaded shaft that you use to screw the chair to the right height then lock it with a massive lock washer. Additionally it doesn’t recline or move in any other way other than to spin and roll. You can loosen bolts to adjust the fit then tighten them back up, but nothing is easily adjustable with levers and stuff which I love because those are just failure points and I’d much rather spend the time to set it up once Ave never worry about it again
