Will be really interesting to see how this works out for them. They’ll definitely lose a lot of users but I wonder if they’ll end up getting enough of them to download the official app that they decide it was worth it.
Haha yeah it’s supposed to but in my experience it feels and looks like a buggy webpage without a refresh button. I still have the shortcut on my home screen, I figure once server issues have been worked out then I won’t need the refresh button as often.

The only problem with federation is duplicate communities, and I don’t even see that as being necessarily a bad thing. I’ll subscribe to multiple communities for the same thing and if, over time, I end up getting annoyed with some of them I’ll just unsubscribe.
I miss the Apple related subreddits, that community hasn’t really seemed to move over yet.
I started off on lemmy.ml before the deluge and then today it’s basically inaccessible so I started up a new account over at lemmy.world. I browse by All anyway so I haven’t really noticed a difference.
I want fiber internet so bad, I live in a relatively big city for Christ’s sake it shouldn’t take this long
