  • I like the first half of your comment, but the second is really hard to swallow. I guess you meant “severe” or “debilitatingly” painful/disabled life, and I don’t think you meant malice in what you’re saying - but I know some people living with disabilities that would see your comment as calling them worthless.

India is a world leader when countries are ranked by population. It’s time will come, as the middle class grows and imports from other nations increase, but that is not happening in the next 5 years in my opinion.

India’s inability to remove the caste system leads IMHO to an equivalent of middle eastern country’s inability to allow women a meaningful place in their society, and is a massive hindrance to reaching its potential socially and economically.

On the positive side, absolutely has the best cuisine in the world

It appears to be a widely quoted official figure and have no insight on if it is realistic. I am also aware that this does not consider the considerable environmental impact of the disaster, nor the economic cost to clean up the mess.

My comment was more relating to the facts about the current state of renewables.

The 2 options this comments OP provides at the end are what I mostly agree on, where we either go 0 carbon now and accept nuclear (with its flaws) as base load, or continue with carbon intensive tech as base load and continue to build out renewables on top.

  • You need an incredibly robust quality management system to even achieve certification (allowing you to place on the market) when creating systems which include life support function, or functions which potentially could kill a user. All potential changes both within and outside of the manufacturers’ control MUST be assessed and constantly monitored so such issues CANNOT arise.

No one should be able to legally place an unsafe app on the market, or legally perform changes to the app without the necessary checks and balances.

Medical device approvals in most countries are definitely not the wild west. Although they are not perfect.
