Sea water caused the batteries to short out, causing the cars to catch fire.
In my experience that’s a pretty normal price, everything here (and especially food) is just super expensive.
My first thought was that the cloud was a snow avalanche and this photo was taken moments before disaster.
Based on anecdotal evidence, “I refuse” may be more common than you think. I live in Switzerland, and out of all the expats I know who have been here a long time (20+ years), a large percentage (over half) of them still can’t speak German. At all. Like, they can maybe say “thank you” but that’s about the extent of their vocabulary, and many of them actually seem to be quite proud of the fact that they’ve made absolutely zero attempt to integrate into the local community or culture.
Now, although I’m fully aware that there are a hell of a lot of differences between Switzerland and the US, it still wouldn’t be at all surprising to me if there were large groups of immigrants in the US who similarly resist learning English.
I can assure you that before I set up Cloudflare, I was getting hit by SYN floods filling up the entire bandwidth of my home DSL2 connection multiple times a week.
I find it hard to believe that the environmental impact of having a paper tag per shelf which gets replaced maybe once a week is worse than the impact of manufacturing, installing and powering one digital screen per shelf.
As long as it continues being one of the top games on steam by online player count, and/or it continues to make them boatloads of cash?
But… these people are dead.
Similar idea, but it does some funky translation layer magic to get pretty much native performance. The original project is called mcpelauncher-linux, iirc it’s been abandoned and forked at least once since then but I haven’t kept up with it.
Derp… maybe I should have taken another look at the picture before commenting. I think my brain just picked out yellow near the top of the list and yellow a few colors from the left and went “sure that’s the same order”
Most likely because they’re at the bottom of the list and the seat color follows the same order
Why does everyone always complain about Nvidia support on Linux? I’ve been using Nvidia GPUs on Ubuntu and Debian for years and it has never required any more effort than ‘sudo apt install nvidia-driver’.
It’s a crontab entry which, once a minute, uses the gnome-screenshot program to take a screenshot of your monitor and save it to /Microsoft/yourPrivacy.
I wouldn’t be so sure about the lifetime - spinning up and spinning down put far more stress on the drive components than simply spinning at a constant rate.
In what way is that advertising? And what is the product?
Last I checked, a small Big Mac menu is somewhere around 12.50, I don’t think they offer a medium version.
