I hope Danny DeVito plays the villain.
S04E02, ~33min into episode. Conversation between Firecracker and Sister Sage.
Firecracker:
Purpose. I sell purpose. These people got nothing. Maybe they lost a job or a house or a kid to Oxy. Politicians don’t give a shit, mainstream media tells them to be ashamed of their skin color, so, well, I bring 'em together, tell them a story, give them a purpose. Which would you rather believe? That you belong to a community of warriors battling a secret evil, or that you’re a lonely, inconsequential nobody that no one will ever remember?
I’ve had a cheap picture very similar to this for a long time. Unless the original artist used a pseudonym I’m assuming it’s an unlicensed knockoff. Signature looks like “Jons/Jones[?] 91.” I won’t link to it, but I found an eBay listing for it and the seller said they won it at an amusement park so that’s probably where I got mine.
Sorry for low-quality scan, tried to fix blurriness but no luck so far.
In a Neal Brennan stand-up special (Piped link) he mentions he uses a Pavlok to shock him every 3 minutes on stage to remind him to smile.
Can they just insist it’s pronounced like jimp and sidestep the issue? Imgur, .gif, GNOME, GIPHY get to set their own rules on pronunciation.
The Piped bot is checking comments for instances of a YouTube domain and video id (I don’t know specifically what it triggers on) and then replies with a link to that video id as a Piped-based one. But what it should also do is check if the initial comment also contains the Piped URL it’s about to post and then not reply with a duplicate of that same address.
For example I’d post something like
And the bot would reply offering the exact “Piped mirror” address I had already linked to. This would happen regardless of if I used custom link text or just left it as a raw URL so the bot clearly wasn’t doing a check of either method.
Awesome, glad I was able to help!
That bot has long been a thorn in my side, both due to that Lemmy bug but relatedly because I used to include Piped links with all my YT ones but the bot doesn’t(/didn’t?) check for them before replying anyway. I’ve never created a bot but I can’t imagine it’s more than like a single line to do a regex search for the exact link it intends to post and aborting if it’s found.
I would get that when I had bots disabled in settings and one would reply to me (usually the Piped link bot). After manually adding that specific bot to the block list that stopped happening.
Just wait for their next phase when they start shilling for their Kevlar girdle startup…
Is this a novelty account or something, what’s with the fixation on your belly? You’ve been milking this subject for 2 months.
I’m a huge fan of the movie and the creator (if my profile pic wasn’t already evidence).
A couple quick 3d printed badges I made from the logo:
(Direct Imgur album link if those don’t work for some reason)
And somewhere I’ve got the soundtrack signed by him in his super tiny handwriting.
EDIT: Found the soundtrack and took a pic.

I heard of it from a Reddit comment about an easter egg location in Diablo 3 called “The Fowl Lair.” It’s filled with chickens and a single Greasy Pig.
The fable of the Chicken and the Pig is used to illustrate the differing levels of commitment from project stakeholders involved in a project. The basic fable runs:
A Pig and a Chicken are walking down the road.
The Chicken says: “Hey Pig, I was thinking we should open a restaurant!”
Pig replies: “Hm, maybe, what would we call it?”
The Chicken responds: “How about ‘ham-n-eggs’?”
The Pig thinks for a moment and says: “No thanks. I’d be committed, but you’d only be involved.”
I thought I was polite in my initial request that they cut back on linking their site, I don’t recall ever suggesting people collect their pitchforks and torches. Please be more dramatic :)
I’m just not interested in having another source of non-stop (undisclosed) advertising trying to appear as organic engagement and am announcing it publicly in the hopes that they either limit their use of it or to at least make others aware what the user is doing.
It would be one thing if they were announcing they own the site but it’s the only place they link to and it gets shoehorned into multiple communities with calls to go visit it.
Please consider not constantly trying to self-promote your website.
A 3 day old account that only posts clickbait links to 2 domains, n24hr.com and sciinsider.com – I wonder if there’s any connection.
