Is pronouncing LED like an acronym common? I’ve never heard it, and it would take me a while to work out what they’re on about if they’re talking about “lead”
I just about exclusively Lemmy from mobile, and auto carrot hates my guts. I end up sounding illiterate most of the time
I tried to sign up for a Facebook account (hate it, but market place seemed like my only option for something I was after) and had my account automatically banned on creation. Twice. They demanded photos of my face, which I begrudgingly gave them, and still never approved my account.
I signed up for a new one with the exact same information from my mobile data plan instead and it worked fine, and I never got banned
Unfortunately most banks in my area don’t offer cheques on personal accounts anymore. You can still cash them, but my bank hasn’t offered cheque books on personal accounts in a good few years (and I think that’s the same case for other banks in my area, too)
Likewise.
It’s also only just now dawning on me /bin is short for /binaries. I always thought it was like… A bin. like a junk drawer hidden in a cupboard
One helpful thing I found is that it can skip “non music sections”, ie those cringey silent scenes they put in YouTube videos. If that’d existed a couple of years ago, I probably wouldn’t have switched to Spotify. I mainly switched because I was sick of random 10 second pauses for dramatic effect in the middle of songs, often right before the chorus
Did you post this twice?

Just an FYI, some of your links broke, seems to be because it included closing brackets as part of the URL. The 2nd and 3rd one and bottom 2, specifically
Just out of spite, I reckon I’m gonna start archiving your page :D
Oh, Yammer, that’s the one. I never really used it much either, I don’t think I can get behind sending memes on a company platform monitored by your manager, fully tied to your actual identity. I had to use it for store news and such. I did some deep digging, sure hope they couldn’t see that. I went back years out of boredom and curiosity and found some juicy arguments. Seriously, who’s arguing with people over inconsequential things on a work social media??
I don’t really understand work social media groups/websites. I worked at a KFC for a while, and we had this weird Microsoft Facebook knockoff called yapper, there were occasional manager rants specific to our store and congratulations posts, but company wide was just weird. Mostly just memes and people begging for krushers back
If I may ask, how many subs/total views did you amass after a decade?
20 bucks is more than reasonable for a 10 dollar shirt imo. But where I am, often these shirts will go for the equivalent US$50 plus the same or more in shipping. I think that’s a scam. 20 bucks is nothing
At this time of day in this part of the country???
I really wish there was a mainstream social media site Americans were forbidden from using, or at least a way to automatically block/hide them, and their petty little political turf wars from my feed, no matter how I sort.
I take it this is a reference to… Something, but I can’t figure it out. What?
Jif is an oven cleaner here. Because I hate everyone, I started pronouncing it Gif. Makes a lot of people very very angry
