What in the name of F

I gotta violently swing my effing phone like a lunitic (because it does NOT work as smoothly as folks say) just to turn my flashlight on?

I picked a cheap phone on purpose, but I don’t know how I’ll be able to go back to a phone that doesn’t have the chop to activate the flashlight gesture. It works everytime for me, and it’s a pretty easy gesture. I’ve never had it go off accidentally either. Same goes for the double twist for the camera.

The guestures have been such a pleasant surprise for my budget tier device.

I was the same when I got off my moto. I missed that feature. I think I still have a muscle memory

I had to use a Huawei for some time, and I never realized how much I rely on the gestures. And how much I hate bloated custom ROMs. You can say about moto as a company whatever you want, their cameras are trash, but the custom ROM is, apart from it containing gapps, perfect.

I remember my old moto. It was a moto g and there was ALWAYS something they cheaped out on, like not putting in an NFC chip or in the case of the Moto G4, not putting in a compass for some reason. Which caused most navigation apps to have a stroke.

Up voted, because I don’t agree. I have the 2023 power or whatever it’s called with the big battery.

    • the double chop and twist are so fast
    • wired headphones are lovely
    • the battery life is the best I have had
    • when you want a nice picture you can borrow an iphone 😅

Loved it on my Moto X 2014, not sure how you’re doing it wrong. double chop, small movement, around 30 degrees. Hold the phone flat against your palm, like you’re shaking hands with it.

Works a little too well sometimes and it turned on when I was running with my phone in my pocket.

Even my G5S had the features and it worked perfectly. Same with my current Edge 20 ofc.
