Republicans really don’t like that Biden has stepped aside and passed the torch to Kamala.

Fox News has now shifted from “Crooked Biden” to saying that Kamala Harris orchestrated a “coup” to oust “poor, old Biden.” They also really, really want there to be an open convention for the supposed “good of the people.” They are totally ignoring that grass-roots level voters wanted Biden to step aside and it wasn’t just the vague and “evil” party elites.

This all seemingly fits together with their narrative that Biden (checks notes) “stole the election from Donald Trump” and now (checks notes again) “Kamala Harris is stealing the nomination from Biden.”

These people just will not even consider the idea that their guy is a liar who tried (and failed!) to steal the 2020 election and they can’t fathom the notion that someone would willingly let go of power for the good of their country; the idea that a good leader would have the strength to admit his own weakness and set aside his personal ambitions to do what is right is fundamentally alien to them. Quite frankly, it’s also something their nominee is incapable of conceiving.
