SpaceX broke the decades-long practice of costs-plus contracts for lump sum contracts from DOD. DOD wanted to offer them the same costs-plus contract style they give to other defense contractors and SpaceX turned that down and demanded lump sum on delivery.

When I worked for Lowe’s recently, I had the distinct impression the company was trying to evolve to be more similar to Amazon, including:

• Less staff in stores
• Less inventory in stores; logistics to be handled from independent central locations
• More focus on online sales

To me the idea of trying to become more similar to a giant like Amazon is foolish.

My first thought is that there’s something about those first couple of bites that triggers the anxiety. Could be subconscious (well, it is subconscious currently if you’re unaware of a cause).

Then journal. Dump your thoughts onto paper, consider and reconsider. Just write out what you think. It can be a text file, a paper notebook with pen, whatever. Just write a lot.
