It was going before that.
It was going before that.
Someone say Gripen…
They could release a sp version or coop version. It would get everyone i know to play again. We didnt stop because of content. We stopped because blatant cheating and the dev saying it wasn’t true for years.
There is a hole if you look close enough…
It wasnt accidental…
As an introvert I’d rather not use self checkouts. The possibility that something will go wrong and I’ll have to call someone over and explain it and have them fix it is much higher than letting someone qualified scan and bag my shit while I stand there silently waiting to pay as both the cashier and myself refuse to talk or make eye contact.
Plus I worked at a walmart for a year as right as they rolled out their mostly self checkout system. So many people lost jobs and the store lost so much money to shrinkage (theft). It’s the dumbest fucking thing. Makes perfect sense to have a few for people with only a handful of items but the vast majority should be cashiers.
This meme was brought to us by big self checkout and makes no sense at all IMO.
They said the same thong about ssds for mass storage. Granted this tech is dramatically different. But we went from coffee table sized laser disks in the 90s to psp disc’s in the 2000s. That’s like a 1:100 size reduction and at a 1000 x data storage rate. Who knows what the future stores.
I check out reddit every few days and tbh lemmy has the same amount of mainstream content. The only difference is that reddit niche subs are more active.
I think the fact that anyone can make the same community on a new instance diminishes niche communities more. If I pick a game on reddit ill find 2 or so instances with lots of use. On lemmy there will be 10 communities all mostly abandoned.
You can feel a difference on reddit though. Quality content and content numbers are greatly reduced from even a month ago.

I pay 150 a month for 20/10mbps (actual is more like 10/5) with a 1.5tb cap. I would stab a baby to get yours.
If you are really unlucky the number doubles so many time you end up tied on the tracks.
As someone who doesnt use twitter… yes this was totally worth it!
This is where I am at. Got a phone survey from comcast. Gave them 1 star on every category except how likely am I to continue to use comcast at which point I gave them a 10… because it’s a monopoly and it’s literally the only ISP in my area. I pay 150 dollars for 10mb/5mb service with a 3tb cap. If I go two blocks in any direction I can get 100mb/50mb for 40 bucks with no data cap. Even the exact same plan from comcast 2 blocks away is half the price with 8 times the speed and no cap.
Nice. It was inevitable. A general lemmy instance needs to protect itself.
Walmart has a policy where you are not allowed to accept tips. If you are caught you are fired. People try to tip all the time for the grocery delivery stuff and if they manage to get money into your hand or the delivery basket you have to inform a member of the management staff. Granted this might not be true at every location but it is part of the corporate training you have to do if you work there longer than 4 months.
The game has a global war that is going on. Every game adds or removes capture points from the world you fought on.
They could have let you play without that but everything is tied in including your player advancement.
