Just in case someone wants the actual answer, which I know you probably don’t, but the real answer is that a president can achieve a lot more in their first 100 days then they can during the election when nobody wants to pass a bill because they’re all campaigning. There’s no time in the presidency that the president has more leverage than right after they are elected and there’s no time they have less leverage than this very moment. Anyone who thinks it’s possible to get a bill that would be helpful to her through Congress right now is a moron.
What a stupid fucking meme… she doesn’t lower them for the same reason you don’t, OP.
She doesn’t lower prices because she’s completely alienated and unrepresented with absolutely no access to the levers of power?
Does OP actually think the VP can unilaterally lower grocery prices? Lol
Maybe not unilaterally… But she could do something right? Maybe talk to that genocide guy?
Not really. Criticism of her positions, including on Gaza, is valid. But the VP has almost no power. And there’s really nothing to be done about grocery prices at this point. Falling prices are generally considered to be very damaging to the economy and would likely cause worse problems. And there’s not really any mechanism by which the executive branch could achieve this anyway.
Inflation is now 2.5%. That’s pretty normal. So there really isn’t any food price issue to solve at this point. The real question is: how will her policies affect wages? And what’s the plan to address the housing crisis which in my view is the real problem that is hurting people right now.
Looking at the other shit they post they just like to stir the pot…
